Teeth Whitening

Same-day, all ceramic crowns

A dental crown is a tooth-shaped "cap" that is placed over a tooth -- to cover the tooth to restore its shape and size, strength, and/or to improve its appearance. The crowns, when cemented into place, fully encase the entire visible portion of a tooth that lies at and above the gum line.

Bonding

Dental bonding is a procedure in which a tooth-colored resin material is applied and hardened with a special light, which ultimately "bonds" the material to the tooth to restore or improve a person's smile.

Dentures

A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. Two types of dentures are available -- complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.

Implants

An effective way to restore lost teeth, dental implants can provide a durable, permanent option for oral reconstruction. In this process, titanium frames are surgically placed into the bone. Once the frames are inserted in position, dental implants are firmly attached, preventing the shifting or slipping you might encounter with typical dentures. You are left with a natural-looking, sturdy new smile!

Tooth-colored Fillings

Tooth-colored fillings, also called white fillings, are dental fillings that restore and mimic the natural appearance of tooth structure. In addition to restoring teeth that have fractured or decayed, tooth colored fillings may also be used cosmetically to change the size, color and shape of teeth. This quality is particularly useful in closing gaps between teeth, repairing chipped teeth, and making teeth appear to be more straight or even.

Cleaning & Digital X-Rays

We provide comfortable, gentle cleanings, specifically to detect, deter and prevent gum disease. Our digital X-Ray system offers superior resolution with less than half the radiation exposure of traditional dental radiography. This helps us to diagnose a number of potential oral problems. And because the system is digital, the process is much faster, reducing the length of your appointment.

Conscious Sedation

Conscious sedation dentistry from a qualified sedation dentist is an ideal procedure for patients who have extreme anxiety about dental procedures. It is a gentle technique which allows you to remain conscious during your dental procedure, but experience little to no pain. Sedation dentistry can be used in both cosmetic dentistry & restorative procedures. It is ideal for patients undergoing root canals or other serious dental procedures. Dr. Janice Babin has completed the advanced training required and is licensed to administer conscious sedation for her patients.

3-D Imaging for precise implant placement

Three dimensional imaging for dental implant placement provides for precise diagnosis and control of implant placement. Dr. Janice Babin has invested in the advanced digital imaging equipment needed to produce 3-dimentional views to enhance the accuracy and safety of placing implants.

Nitrous Oxide ("Laughing Gas")

Nitrous oxide is a gas (also called laughing gas) used to reduce patient anxiety for dental procedures. This allows you to relax during your treatment, and resume your normal activities after your appointment! Nitrous oxide is best suited for cases of mild to moderate anxiety. You will feel the effects within minutes and these effects are completely gone within minutes of the gas being turned off after your treatment. Dr. Janice Babin has completed the advanced training required and is licensed to administer Nitrous Oxide for her patients.

Extractions

A tooth may have to be extracted if repairing the tooth is not practical (for example, when there is an extensive cavity or there is a severe break or crack), if there is advanced gum disease, if the tooth is greatly mis-positioned or does not have sufficient room, or in preparation for braces. We offer oral conscious sedation, as well as a gentle chair side manner to help alleviate any apprehension you may have.

Dentures and Partials

Dentures and partials are removable replacements for missing teeth and soft tissues. Dentures replace all of the teeth, whereas partials rest in line with existing, healthy teeth. Typically made from acrylic resins, dentures and partials match existing gum tissue. Skilled artisans shape the teeth to complement your facial features and coloring, and the dentist will take careful measurements to ensure optimal comfort. Modern dentures feel, look, and function very similar to natural teeth.

Root Canals

Root canal treatment is performed when decay will likely damage or has already killed a tooth. During a root canal, a dentist or Endodontist removes the pulp from the center of a tooth and fills the pulp cavity. This can prevent the development of a painful infection in the pulp that may spread to other teeth. A root canal can also treat an infection that has developed into an abscessed tooth. This procedure can relieve toothache, stop infection, and promote healing.

Gum disease treatment

Periodontal disease, commonly known as gum disease, is caused by bacteria in plaque. If not consistently removed, the bacteria build up, infecting your teeth, gums, lower gum tissue and eventually the bone that supports your teeth - a common cause of tooth loss. This disease has three stages of progression: gingivitis, moderate periodontal disease, and advanced periodontal disease. The longer the disease goes without treatment, the more damage it causes.
